LENNIX JONES was born on, Friday, October 6th 2000. He was born and raised in Memphis, TN. He was born into a home of both a mother and a father and a sister followed in 2005. As a child he withered around a portion of South Memphis, Whitehaven and East Memphis. But that was often only because he would stay with family, like his grandmother, from time to time. Growing up as a child, Lennix could often recall riding around with his father through the Memphis city streets and listen to a lot of music. Ranging in different genres from pop, to rock, to alternative, hip-hop, to rap, r&b to soul, etc. In fact a couple of songs that Lennix can recall, by name, that were him and his fathers' favorite were, "Shadow of the Day" by Linkin Park and "Waiting For You" by Seal. Around these times as a child (2 - 10), Lennix was attending Cotton Tail Christian Academy and Germanshire Elementary School. These schools together make up his beginning school years, up until 5th grade. Exceptional childhood, Lennix did not have anything less of one. Him and his sister grew up in East Memphis, right off Ross Road at 6685 Winding Birch (2000 - 2010) and eventually down that same road at 5011 Lake Valley Cove (2010 - 2012). But it wasn't until he got to his 6th grade year, and then went to Power Center Academy (2011) where things took a turn. Coming into his pre-teen to teenage years he took academics a little differently than how he has before. At PCA an 11 year old Lennix Jones suffered academically, socially, and mentally with the amount of 'scholaristic' preparation the school was pushing onto him. This was the year his attention towards the books was in the books. A young pre-teen was, like it or not, growing. Shifting interests in an instant. And that made his 6th grade year, and the rest of his schooling experience even harder. Not as horrific as you may think, plus the world was changing at this time also. But as time grows, you'll see where these shifts are leading.

BY 2012 he was going to Highland Oaks Middle School and so on as the school system goes, whatever middle school you go to you have to go to the older sibling high school. Then leading him to go to Southwind High School. Going about middle school was 'rough' or I guess not as glamorous as a popular kid. Lennix never really had any popularity until he started showing out for a girl at a basketball game in middle school. That's when a couple people including students and staff got a whiff of his name. As time went on for the middle schooler, wind of a "talent show" was going around and Lennix wanted no part in it. It wasn't until a crush of his exclaimed how much he should perform and offered to perform with him. Who wouldn't take that offer? But when the audition came she backed out and he went on and performed "for her". They chose to perform, "Dirty Diana" by Michael Jackson, his idol. And on

December 13th 2013, Lennix's social life changed forever. Ultimately performing in front of the whole school, his name became a school-wide phenomenon in minutes. Going from an 8th grader that nobody knew to winning first place in the talent show. Beating out all the jocks at the time (who performed 'My Girl', by The Temptations), a "magician" and a praise dancer (who performed a dance to 'Take Me to the King' by Tamela Mann). Lennix won a halftime performance spot for winning, at their next home game. From that point on Lennix was popular. He was known by every person in school. And he carried that popularity on into high school. And by this point in time, Lennix knew exactly what he wanted to do in his life and be in life.

CARRYING ON in his school-run, Lennix carried this momentum with him into high school. Noticing that drastic difference from middle to high school, and the wider range of ages around him now, he didn't really know how to keep the momentum from middle school. Especially as a freshman dancer. Lennix took up the art and craft of dancing in 2009, unfortunately, after the news broke about Michael Jacksons' death on Thursday, June 25, 2009. After then, the news was spreading, emotions and words were going everywhere. His father then showed him a video on the pop star, and from there the rest is history. Lennix then began to, at the age of 8, teach himself how to dance, move, emulate and replicate the manner, mannerisms and energy of the late King of Pop. Lennix spent countless days, hours and time going on the internet looking for videos of Michael dancing to look at, analyze, study and mirror Mikes' moves.

And of course with the large amounts of hard work and practice Lennix put into learning the moves is extremely similar to the way Michael have always proclaimed himself to learn James Browns', Sammy Davis Jrs', Jackie Wilsons' and Fred Astaires' dance moves watching television as he was a child also. And in 2012 that landed him his first time making money from the MPD. Lennix performed Michaels', "Billie Jean" for the Memphis Police Department in Hickory Hill for the fallen female officer that year. Billie Jean is Lennix's favorite song from Jackson. And performs it whenever asked and can get the chance. Also in this year in 2012, on the same day as his performance for the MPD, he and his family were in an unfortunate situation to where they had to leave their 'Lake Valley' home to go live his grandmother all the way in the Whitehaven part of Memphis; very close to/behind Elvis Presley's house in Graceland. This where his life started to takes an influential turn for his future.

IN 2013 after ending a summer camp in the Hickory Ridge Mall, Lennix and his little sister London were invited by people they knew to do a fashion showcase at Memphis' Bridges center. There is where his sister, first, were seen and then was also seen and connected to Subroy Studios. And approximately their time at Subroy lasted roughly between early 2016 (London), and early 2017 (Lennix). There they were both trained in various styles of dance including hip-hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary jazz, tap, jookin', african, etc.

AFTER SUBROY Lennix wasn't doing so well in school. Which in a timely manner; it was a great time to stop going to Subroy seemingly needing to take things more serious in his school work. In 2017, that wound up leading him to go to summer school in the summer of 17'. He did. And in August of 2017 he was a senior. And by this time, ever since 2015, he has been featured in every, 'Haunted Mansion' Halloween play the school has had to put on every year. And also including a Christmas play also. He had built that popularity from middle school back up with a whole newer and wider range of school yard to project across. He then proceeded to try a hand at music. He always knew he was a great dancer and a performer, but could compose a song and put it together? He released his first official song called 'Heat" in 2016. Regular trap style song. Tried to be trendy and ride a wave in 2016. But he sought out inspiration from his cousin who he grew up with and watched him and how he does and records his own music and used those same tactics to himself when he began making music for himself.

CONTINUING to try and push himself to be better at music and writing music he put out a second attempt, a more R&B styled song, called "On The Low" also in 16'. With posting this there were a couple of his Subroy peers making fun of the song or more of the attempt. A little discouraged he went back and took some time to try and find a newer way to approach the way he comes at making music and the sound he wants to put out. With it being and becoming more a top priority for him he soon started to fall more and more in love with the process and the art of creating the music and the foundation that was once his dancer canvas. A little time passed and he tried it a third time, the better start of a raise in his craft, "Change". Cover sporting a picture of then president Donald Trump with the song title covering his face. This song got him a little more attention than he was thinking, especially in his theater class. This was something that he liked and was then determined to make more music to try to be as authentic and original as he could be. And he had never let that down with one single right after another

Unfortunately, all this extra work into his craft and his music; his rapping abilities, caused him to slack terribly in school. Resulting in his parents having to come up to the school and have a meeting with the principle. And then, is where he claimed that due to the way things are going right now, Lennix wouldn't be able or just graduate. But if he got his act and shit together right at that moment then he had a chance to make it. His mother cried, in what seemed to be embarrassment, disappointment and anger. A wild mix of emotions, that didn't do anywhere better when they got home. But as the saying goes, effort makes improvement. And Lennix did everything in his power that he possibly could to straighten his act before it was too late. And most definitely, in May of 2018, at age 17 Lennix Jones was one of those from Southwind High School to graduate as the Class of 2018. It was success after another for Lennix at this time: one week he graduates high school at 17, next week he takes both portions of his drivers test in the same day and passed, then the next week after that his hard drivers license came in the mail.

ABOUT AUGUST 2018 heading into 2019 Lennix attended TN Tech the same year he graduated and there he took Web Design and IT Foundations. Still a minor when he went, the youngest person in the class. There he met more people who were also into a little music. And during this time he released more music to help his approval from the peers in his class also. In the time he was at TN Tech he released "IV'IX" in 2018, "Right Now" and "The Matrimony (Remix)" both released in the middle of class in 2019. Also in the midst of him being in a trade school, Jones was asked to come back to the high school he recently just graduated from earlier that year to perform at a fashion show called, "Viva Las Vegas". He planned to do something different, a different showcase than he has before. He put together a show medley of songs starting with "Billie Jean", "APESHIT", "XO TOUR Llif3" and even his own song as the finale, "Change". His performance sent people out for sure. And had them make a sea of lights.

FOLLOWING THAT Lennix was then invited back a whole year later for another fashion show to perform a different medley of songs in the Fashion Show of 2019, and this time he brought someone to perform with him. As the following years, months and weeks came towards him, he realized he wanted to be an output source for all types of entertainment, which does  includes dancing, singing, acting, rapping, photography, videography, video editing, directing, etc.  In the following time, Jones then bought and ordered a Polaroid camera and film. He then started to take photos like the one on the left.  He wanted to evoke and recreate the feelings of moments. Emotions and aesthetics that will send your mind and overall body into a sense of a past memory and/or feeling where you were most effected, happy, living in that moment, or any serious emotion you can take from the visuals. The art of expression and what you could feel and make others feel was always interesting to Lennix. Still is too.

He sights a couple of people who were / are involved in his life as to why he wanted to go into the aesthetics look. The few people who he was involved with made a big impact on his life to where; the position he's in at the moment, makes those times and memories aesthetic and environmentally craved. The times where he describes, he was free. He was happy. Doing his thing. One of those times is late 2019, when he was getting a lot of positive feedback from the group of people he was around when he put out two singles at that time, "feast mode." and "Backseat". It was  a whole inside jingle among the group of friends. With even some people then and still some people today who call that song their favorite of his and even newer listeners hear and catch on to the songs vibe and end up loving it. This is one of those times Lennix wants to portray in himself and his musicality.

INTO THE 2020s after facing a pandemic, mentally falling from where he once was, trying to continue to get his mentality back right and conquer the world; Lennix is on a completely different and elevated level than what he was on or could have ever known back in his early days to his late teens. Early 2022 he was in a car accident. He wasn't hurt at all, but it took him out of the mix for a while, in addition to his job at that time being very shady with him. He wasn't at fault in the accident was given a rental. He spiraled a bit but had enough anger to write and record a new song every couple of days with a cover for it and everything. A few songs that were made and put out in that time were, "Pushin' P's & Q's (Pushin' P Freestyle)" which was a remix of Gunna and Future's 'Pushin' P', "10PM Sliding On I-240" and "flash.", and the picture above is actually a behind the scenes picture from him making a music video for '10PM Sliding On I-240' with appearances by his best friend Makayla. And to see that video, if you're interested, all you would have to do is click the picture above.
